IN THE WORLD

WCCARES GLOBAL

Westerville Christian Church supports missions around the world through our WCCares ministry. This year, we will be taking teams on mission trips to Haiti, Africa and Mexico.

MUSHAYAMUNDA VILLAGE | ZIMBABWE, AFRICA

In April 2005, Team Africa, composed of 12 WCC members and Missionary Dereck Mushayamunda, visited the Mushayamunda Village in Zimbabwe, Africa. Our team saw the needs at the village and a small group was formed to move forward on projects to meet needs for the villagers and their local congregation.

Through WCC and several other churches, four wells have been drilled, drip irrigation systems have been installed, vegetables are being grown to feed families, bicycles have been purchased to allow ministers to get to various villages, school supplies have been supplied, Bibles have been provided to new Christians, songbooks have been purchased for the congregation, a roof has been placed over a structure for the congregation to meet, nutritious drink has been provided to families for their children, corn meal has been donated to families to sustain them, manually operated sewing machines have been donated for use by the villagers, plows have been purchased to assist in farming, shoes have been given – all of this in the Name of Jesus.

LIFELINE CHRISTIAN MISSION

For more than 30 years Lifeline Christian Mission has been restoring hope by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world while involving people from the US and Canada in the ministry work of fulfilling the Great Commission. Lifeline began serving in Haiti in 1980 and today ministry extends to at least 8 nations or people groups, ministering to tens of thousands of people on any given day and engaging thousands of people in Great Commission work weekly. We are blessed to support the ministry of Lifeline Christian Mission in both financial and personal involvement in the mission field.
