Let's Practice Intentional Gratitude this Thanksgiving

I received a note recently from a friend.  She told me she was thankful for my ministry and our friendship.

I received a text last week from another person saying he was grateful for our friendship and wanted me to know he was praying for me. What did they both do? They were intentional about showing their gratitude.

Being grateful is powerful. Being grateful is being like God.

Has this ever happened to you? You get a card in the mail, someone took the time and effort to write you a note. You get a text. Most of us get many texts, but some are different. Some of them are meaningful. They are brief yet powerful. Their words encouraged you. They told you that they were and are grateful for you.

Would you do the same? As soon as you finish reading this blog would you text your spouse, family member, or friend telling them they mean the world to you. Please, don’t go on and on. Give them one reason why you are thankful for them, be concise. Maybe you would do better sending a card, either is fine.  Show that person you are grateful for them.

This doesn’t have to happen all the time, but occasionally be intentional with your gratitude.

OK, I’m done. 3, 2, 1 – send a text or mail a card to someone thanking them for one specific reason. If you do, you will make their day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
