Holy Week Begins this Sunday

Holy Week or the Passion of Christ, is the last week of Jesus life. Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday.

You can trace what Jesus did, where he went and what he said using the Gospel writers.

In my current series, “Investigating Jesus,” we use the Gospel of Luke. Luke provides this timeline.

Palm Sunday - Luke 19: 29-40

Holy Monday - Luke 19: 45 & 46

Holy Tuesday - Luke 20: 1-47, Luke 21: 5-38, Luke 22: 3-6

Holy Wednesday

Nothing is recorded on this day. Take a moment to pray to Jesus, thanking him for being obedient. Obedience that led to his death.

Maundy Thursday - Luke 22: 14-53

Maundy comes from the Latin word “covenant.” This is the day Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples giving them a new covenant.

Good Friday - Luke 22:54 – 23:25

Silent Saturday – Matthew 27: 62-66

This is the day Jesus rested in the tomb.

Resurrection Sunday – Luke 24
