Let our Rooted Series help you Dive Deeper into God's Word
My wife Tricia made a comment to me the other day, it went something like this, “Youth ministry years ago was different…”
“…we did not have to teach students what was true. They already knew what was true. Students today are at a disadvantage. They don’t know what’s true and it’s up to the church to help them see truth found in Jesus.” I could not agree more.
This is one of the reasons I love Rooted. Rooted is an opportunity to dive into nine key topics, to see the truth of God’s word. You see, there is a God and this personal God wants to speak to us. Because humans walked away from God, sin and suffering exist. God often speaks loudest when we suffer. God might not prevent our pain, but he promises to walk with us through our pain. There is an enemy, a fallen angel named Lucifer. His title is “Satan” which means “accuser.” This enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy. One of his main weapons is deception. He deceives us into thinking that truth does not exist.
Dan Stoffer just concluded the first four weeks of Rooted, take a look at the five remaining topics and the speakers who will share:

The Apostle Peter wrote two letters, the purpose of his second letter was to warn Christ followers about false teachers. Teachers who taught that Jesus was not coming back. A second purpose was to inspire Christ followers to grow deep in their faith. Sounds like Rooted to me. Peter said this…
2 Peter 1:3-9 (NIV2011) 3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
Rooted is your opportunity…
To add to your faith
To grow in the knowledge of God
To possess Godly qualities with increasing measure
To keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of Jesus Christ
To never forget that you have been cleansed from your past sins
One day Jesus will return. Until he does, let’s keep our eyes fixed on him which means we know what’s true.
