My Tithing Testimony

Have you made a choice to tithe? The word tithe means “a tenth part of something.”

You decided to give back to God 10% of your salary to the local church. Maybe you have been doing this for a few months, years, or decades. Would you be willing to write out your testimony?

I’m creating a blog called “Tithing Testimonies,” which will be published the week of July 2. If you’re interested in being a part of this blog, share your story utilizing one or two of the following questions.

1)  Why and when did you start tithing?

2)  What happened as a result?

3)  Were you ever afraid to tithe? What created the fear?

4)  Why would you encourage others to do the same?

Here’s my personal example.

Tithing for me began in High School; I was taught to tithe by my parents. Tricia and I were married in September 1985. We began tithing that same year. Has life been perfect? Of course not. Has God been faithful to keep his promise to provide for us and our kids? YES! We have NEVER gone without. Always having food, clothes, and a roof over our heads. Not to mention cars to drive. I am not saying that God will give you a Porsche; that did not happen for us.  He simply took care of us. We had what we needed when we needed it. He will do the same for you. Test him on this; give tithing a try.

Email your testimony to me (greg@wcchurch.life) by Friday, June 30. I can’t wait to read what God has done in your life.
