When God Develops a Plan

Multiply Christian Church is going through the Book of Daniel, just like Westerville Christian Church!

As a church plant of Westerville Christian Church, I try to do my best to communicate to WCC leadership on all the updates happening with Multiply - including my sermon calendar.

Much like Pastor Greg, I plan sermon series months in advance. As I was planning our Fall series back in January, I felt the Lord leading me to take Multiply through a series in the book of Daniel. Little did I know, God led Greg to do the same thing!

Several weeks ago, Greg and I were meeting and discussing our upcoming series, and we both mentioned that we had planned to go through Daniel in September and October. We were blown away by how God was developing a plan behind the scenes for an important series that is truly relevant to the times in which we are living. Good things happen when God develops a plan.

As you know, WCC’s series through Daniel is entitled “To Them For Us.” Multiply’s series is entitled “Thriving in Exile.” Here is a description of our series:

After years of prophetic warnings, Israel faced their worst nightmare: an exile from their homeland. The exile left God's people without a home and temple and wondering if their God had abandoned His promises to them. Yet, even in these extremely difficult circumstances, faithful leaders like Daniel emerged and modeled what courageous faith looks like. Join us at Multiply Christian Church Sundays at 10:00am this September and October as we study the person of Daniel from the Bible and learn to apply practical faith-building principles that will help you to thrive, even in difficult circumstances.

If you aren’t already doing so, you should get into the book of Daniel in your Bible. Read it; study it.

See what the Lord will say about being faithful in difficult circumstances and in a culture quickly moving away from God. Clearly, the Lord is directing both churches to study Daniel for such a time as this, and we should pay attention. I can’t wait to see how He inspires, encourages, and changes us all to be more like Daniel and his three friends in our lives!

Thank you for your continued support of Multiply Christian Church as we strive to multiply the hope we have in Jesus throughout our community and world! If you have questions about Multiply or getting involved in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at dan@multiply614.com.
