Mutliply is Partnering with Ability Ministry

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable . . .

1 Corinthians 12:20-22

Every year,  Multiply Christian Church dedicates a special year-end offering to go towards a mission partner as a part of our Christmas Eve Gift.

Our Christmas Eve Gift supported a wonderful ministry called Ability Ministry this year.

This exciting ministry is an independent Christian nonprofit that provides resources, curriculum, training, and residential services designed to equip and empower the disabled community.

Ability Ministry's mission is to equip and empower the local church, organizations, and individuals to reach their disability community for Christ.

Ability Ministry offers consultation, curriculum, and training to help more people find a seat at Jesus' table. Their ministry impact has been felt in over 43 U.S. States and over 25 different countries. In addition to providing training and resources for churches worldwide, Ability Ministry also provides housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Since our Christmas Eve service was canceled due to the extreme temperatures, monies were collected during our worship services on January 8. Over $3,455 was collected by Multiply as a gift to partner with Ability Ministry. Praise God!

The timing couldn’t have been better because a water pipe burst at one of Ability Ministry’s residential homes in Tennessee, damaging an entire wing. Our gift couldn’t have come at a better time.

If you are interested in learning more about Ability Ministry, please visit their website at Abilityministry.com. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give to this wonderful ministry, here are some of their immediate needs:

  1. Ability Ministry's total monthly resident shortfall is $3,600 (over $43,000 annually). They raise this monthly for residents who cannot pay their rent and fees. Most do not have supporting families, trusts, etc.

  2. Ability Ministry also needs a new van to help with transportation needs. The estimated cost is $40,000. They transport 28 residents daily to and from work, church, and activities.

  3. Ability Ministry will demolish an old home on their property in TN and prepare a place to build tiny homes for future residents. The cost for this project will be $20,000

Thank you for your continued support of Multiply Christian Church as we strive to multiply the hope we have in Jesus throughout our community and world! If you have any questions about Multiply or about getting involved in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at dan@multiply614.com

I am thankful to be a part of a ministry where generosity is normal!
