Take the next step at Baptism Sunday on August 28!

I can almost hear the low audible groans as children know that back to school is just a few weeks away.

At the same time, the cheers of parents might be getting louder. However, you look at back to school, it’s coming, and there’s nothing we can do to change that. So, we just need to get ready for it.

To get ready means that you must get prepared. To get prepared, you need a game plan. To have a game plan, you need a target date when the plan comes together. For my family, that’s August 17, the plan is in motion.

If you know me, you know that I like to have a plan, and I like it to be organized. Not only does that come in handy for back to school, but it has been a blessing at church when special Sundays come our way. The next special Sunday is August 28.

On February 2, 2020, we had our first baptism Sunday where twenty-one people were baptized.

In August 2021, we had nine people baptized. Easter 2022, we had eight people baptized. These Sundays have been so special, and we want to see it happen again.

On Sunday, August 28, we are hosting our next outdoor baptism Sunday on the patio next to the Fireside Room. It’s going to be an incredible experience for sure. We’ll hold baptisms out on the patio at the end of each service. I have concluded that people just need a calendar date to prepare and set a game plan. Here’s your chance to do so if you have been wanting to be baptized. I’m here to help you!

If you’re ready to take the next step and be baptized on August 28, please fill out this form to let us know!

The week before, we will have baptism classes available to explain and answer any questions you might have about baptism. These classes will be on Sunday, August 21 at 10A and Wednesday, August 24 at 6P in Gray 5.

Follow the plan, and let’s have another incredible Sunday celebrating decisions for Jesus. You’ll never forget it.
