Get Ready for More Dust!

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. 8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

Hebrews 11:6&8

We’re very close to beginning work in Worship Center, Gray Hall, and office suite!

The McKnight Group is in the final stage of securing construction permits, and subcontractors are ready to begin in early February. A special and heartfelt THANK YOU to the staff and volunteers who cleared these areas. Many items were given to ministries and sent to recycle.

Temporary Offices for Staff

The staff are now utilizing an “open office” environment in the Fireside Room until the remodel is complete.  We will be using the café seating area for conversations and meetings. Feel free to connect with us by phone (the main system forwards to our cell phones), email, or text.

Currently…

  • Rubber stair treads have been installed and will look great for a long time.

  • New meeting spaces have been created in the Arena Green Room and VENUE471 storage room – to be used for small group gatherings – utilizing furniture from the existing offices.

  • The painting contractor for the first phase is complete. The additional painting will be performed with The McKnight Group.

  • In our last post, we shared how…

In the next few weeks, many of our less-than-desirable trees will be removed under the direction of our own Lance Corven. Several of our guys will join Lance to help cut, chip, grind, and remove the debris.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this project. It looks great! The balance of the tree line will be removed this Spring.

  • There have been some late changes in the detail of the graphics on the walls and furnishings. Final quotes are being secured at this point. We have two sample chairs for Worship Center seating. They are in the back of the Worship Center, gray in color. Please feel free to “have a seat” and check them out! They are much, much lighter and able to be stacked 20 high, making setup and tear down much easier.

  • At the beginning of construction, we will lose our existing baptistery and therefore will utilize our portable system until the new one is installed.

What can I do?

Please pray for The McKnight Group and the subcontractors who are anticipating their work to begin soon. Pray specifically for their safety, and that WCC would minister to them.  Also, please pray that the final stages of the permit process would go well…giving thanks that all are working together for a safe and effective final product!

As Always…

Thanks for giving to the Fearless Campaign. We are well on our way with more than 40% of the pledges given in the first year.  God is so good! If you would like more information on how you can contribute, please email mark@wcchurch.life.

Q&A

“Isn’t there going to be something on all these white walls?”

As a matter of fact, yes! We want to make sure it is done well, and as mentioned above, there have been some late changes. Thanks for your patience.
