We are Grateful for Partnership
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1 (NIV)
Thinking about Pastor Greg’s “Stories of Gratitude” series, I wanted to share one thing that Multiply Christian Church is grateful for: our partnership with Westerville Christian Church.
Last week, our partnership was evident once again as WCC’s Senior Adult Ministry (PrimeTime) invited Multiply’s senior adults to their Thanksgiving Pie event.
The event included pie, a Christmas card service project - led by Multiply member Barb Rowland and music led by Multiply’s worship leaders Jesse Current and Alivia DeMint.
My favorite aspect of this partnership was that this event brought the generations together. I’m in my early 40s, and our worship leaders are in their early 20s; we gathered together with senior adults, and the fellowship and partnership were refreshing - especially in a day and age when many churches are siloed and isolated when it comes to the generations.
Unfortunately, many churches focus on only one generation, and that isn’t always the healthy way to operate.
In Titus 2:1-8, Paul was clear that older believers are to invest in younger believers and younger believers are to learn from older believers. This is a beautiful picture of what the church should be and how a church can be healthy. During the Thanksgiving Pie event, we got to see this wonderful partnership in action.
Thank you for your continued support of Multiply Christian Church as we strive to multiply the hope we have in Jesus throughout our community and world! If you have any questions about Multiply or about getting involved in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at dan@multiply614.com.
Not only is WCC our sending church, but we are also partners together in ministry, and for that, I am extremely grateful!
